Types of Filter
Filters are about keeping harmful particles out of the engine and prolonging its life right? well, yes, but it’s also about fuel efficiency too. A dirty engine air filter increase fuel consumption by 5% and dirty fuel filter will mean using another 5% unnecessarily. In addition to filtering out contaminants, Diesel filters are used to separate water contained in the diesel fuel. Since water heavier than diesel, it collects in the water accumulation chamber of the diesel filter. After filtration, the lighter diesel fuel flows to the interior of the filter towards the outlet.
